Colac Bay is located on the Southern Scenic Route between Invercargill and Fiordland,
a small seaside retreat looking directly across Foveaux Strait to Stewart Island.

Colac Bay is best known for its surfing, fishing and diving, but is also a
popular seaside retreat for families and those who enjoy the outdoors and the wilnd south coast.

Colac Bay has a camping ground, backpackers, tavern and cafe/restaurant.
