Queenstown - New Zealand

Queestown New Zealand Aerieal view
Queenstown, surrounded by The Remarkables snowcapped mountain range
and located on the beautiful deep blue Lake Wakatipu
is a true gem in New Zealand’s landscape.

Queenstown is ideal for accommodation with a variety of hotels,
serviced apartments, motels, bed and breakfast accommodation,
self contained cottages, backpackers and campings.
Queenstown is a premiere tourist destination in the South Island of New Zealand
and the place to be for wine tours, adventure tourism, skiing and winter sports.

Not surprisingly Queenstown is one of New Zealand’s most popular tourist destinations.
Widely known as the adventure capital of New Zealand it offers
a multitude of activities for the thrill seekers amongst us.

Queenstown truly comes alive in the evenings with the old goldmining town streets and lanes lined with
little boutique shops, bars, restaurants and cafes all open until late in the evening.
Daytime gives the opportunity to admire the absolutely stunning landscape, take a jetboat ride on the exhilarating Lake Wakatipu
or the nearby Shotover River, travel the gondola to the top of the skyline or just amble along the stunning waterfront.

Queesntown has a true beauty that is hard to surpass.
Also known as the adventure capital of New Zealand, it is widely popular with thrill seekers and the young of heart.

Queenstown Bungy Jumping
There is also bungy jumping, ski diving, paragliding, tramping, Mountain biking,
fly fishing, luging down mountains and of course we can’t forget the Lady of the Lake,
the TSS Earnsleugh steamer boat which takes you to Walter Peak Station.
The activities are endless!

For those wanting a more relaxing time try one of the many world class wineries
in the Gibston Valley or take a tour of the famous film locations for the multitude
of movies that have been produced in and around the Queenstown area.
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy being one of them.

Queenstown area has several spectacular local golf courses such as
Kelvin Heights, Millbrook,The Hills and Jacks Point.

Winter time in Queenstown is a truly romantic affair with snow covered mountains centred around the crystal blue Lake Wakatipu
giving a true picture postcard sphere.  Queenstown has a choice of no less than four skifields in the area; Remarkables, Coronet Peak,
Cardrona and Treble Cone all of which offer top class ski facilities.  The town comes alive during the evenings and “ski bunnies”
can enjoy the warm atmosphere of the town in the evenings after a hard day up on those mountain top slopes!
