The seaside town of Kaikoura is situated halfway between Christchurch and Picton. Perhaps most well known for its whale watching and opportunities to swim with dolphins just off the coastline. Kaikoura is also famous for its delectable array of seafood especially the NZ Crayfish, a true delicacy of the sea.

Kaikoura offers many options for visitors from exploring the native wildlife, through to tramping and mountain biking as well as  history and culture.  The beautiful mountain ranges behind Kaikoura are snow-covered for most of the year and are spectacular.

Kaikoura also offers a range of accommodation,
attractions and restaurants and cafes for dining out.
