 Welcome to a Burn Cottage retreat
A lush oasis of park-like woodland gardens, shady trees and spacious lawns,
surrounded by typical Otago landscape.
Burn Cottage Retreat offers guests the choice of three luxury self contained cottages
in a tranquil rural setting, 3km from Cromwell and Lake Dunstan;
the heart of Central Otago.
Rascal, Moonlight and Celebration Cottages are purpose built to the highest standards
and designed specifically for couples to relax and enjoy a romantic getaway.
These secluded cottages nestle amidst a walnut grove,
surrounded by beautiful woodland, hosta and tussock gardens.

At Burn Cottage Retreat, our focus is on guest comfort, peaceful relaxation and
genuine warm kiwi hospitality. You might enjoy relaxing in your cottage watching DVDs,
reading, or wandering about our 24 acres with our pet sheep grazing nearby,
admiring the birdlife in the gardens and streams, or perhaps a glass of wine or
a coffee on the deck under the star-studded night skies is more your thing.
We have mountain bikes available for guests to use, as well as a guest laundry,
guest vegetable garden and orchard and each cottage enjoys fresh walnuts from our trees.

- Ensuite bathrooms with tiled showers (stunning water pressure), heated towel rails, hairdryers and toiletries
- Gas fires for cosy ambience
- French doors opening out onto sun drenched decks

We are well situated for easy day trips to Wanaka, Arrowtown and Queenstown, the Central Otago Rail Trail or the vast number of vineyards, orchards, cafes and restaurants Cromwell has to offer. Several of the local restaurants offer courtesy coaches.
To fully appreciate our stunning cottages, the region and the local activities available, we recommend a minimum two night stay.

The things we do to be environmentally friendly are:
- Wherever possible, we ask guests to consider conserving water and power as much as possible by using their bathroom linen for more than one day
- We use eco-friendly cleaning products
- We operate compost bins for organic waste
- We are trying to be as environmentally aware as possible
- We have planted a vegetable garden, fruit trees and rhubarb plots specifically for guests to enjoy home grown produce while staying with us (only available over summer months though, due to our extreme winter climate!)
- The cottages are located amongst a walnut grove and the nuts are provided in each unit for guests to enjoy fresh, healthy walnuts, straight from our trees

Directions:
From the "Big Fruit" Sculpture in Cromwell, head west.
Turn right onto the Wanaka-Queenstown highway and take
the second road to your left (Burn Cottage Road).
We are 1.7km along the road.
Our gateway is on the right hand side of the road - look for the
"Burn Cottage Retreat" sign and the post people standing guard
at the front gate!
